Victorian Mahogany Cupboard with Shelf Back, c.1860–70 19th Century - 111.5 × 48 × 129 cm A handsome mid‑Victorian mahogany cupboard of practical proportions, dating from around 1860–70. The richly coloured top with moulded edge is surmounted by a neat raised shelf, supported on turned uprights, making an ideal display space for books, lamps or decorative pieces. Below, a pair of panelled cupboard doors with simple applied mouldings open to reveal shelved storage, perfect for tableware, linens or everyday household items. The cupboard stands on a solid plinth base and has developed a warm, even patina over time, giving it the character and depth expected of a genuine 19th‑century Victorian piece.
